Our kindergartners are doing such a great job! We learned how to write all the letters of the alphabet and have been working on proper number formation. We are also building our sight word vocabulary each day and have brought home many books that we are able to read on our own!
We have also fully implemented all elements our “Daily Five” literacy program. The Daily Five is a way of structuring the reading block so every student is independently engaged in meaningful literacy tasks. Students receive whole group instruction and then are given independent practice time to read and write while I provide focused, intense instruction to individuals and small groups of students.
Parent/Teacher conferences will be held on Tuesday, November 21st from 3:20-8:20. Please call the office if you would like to make an appointment.
PTO will be sponsoring a Book Fair on Monday, November 20th and Tuesday, November 21st. Your child will be given an opportunity to purchase books each day here at school and it will also be open during conferences on Tuesday.
