It is a very exciting time in our classroom because our kindergarteners are becoming quite the little readers! We practice reading everyday in a variety of ways. We have time set aside each day where the students read to themselves using self selected books from their personal “book bags”. In addition, we have writing journals and mini books that we enjoy reading.
In math, we have been working on simple addition and subtraction and have learned a lot of strategies to help us! Our 100th day of school is February 6th so we will have many exciting math activities and projects to work on to prepare for our celebration.
