COMPUTER ASSISTED DESIGN I (CAD I)
1 Credit 2 Semesters Prerequisite: "C" or better in math
This course provides the student with an understanding of the features, limitations, and operations of a microcomputer-based computer-aided design/drafting (CAD) system. Students will have hands-on experience using the micro-based CAD software, microcomputers, input/pointing devices and printer/plotters. Emphasis is on the operation of CAD software, CAD commands, mode settings, drawing aids, dimensioning, shortcuts, and other valuable characteristics of CAD.
