Students will use literary devices to read and comprehend a wide variety of literature. They will also study and analyze informational text and literary nonfiction combined with different media sources.  Students will create narrative, informative, and argumentative writing using formal writing style along with proper conventions and citation formats.  Students will incorporate technology in their writing and participate in oral presentations using various sources of information and diverse media formats.  The Common Core Standards are used in this classroom, which are the new standards set by the state of Ohio.
