about her experiences as a medical assistant. She takes a patient’s weight, temperature, and blood pressure.
She even draws blood and charts for the doctor. Although she is home now to take care of her family, she
is willing to get back into her career again. Grandma Georgia demonstrated the different instruments she
uses and the students had a chance to take part. The students found their pulse and listened to their
heartbeat with a stethoscope. Reporter Sydney Procick was on hand to report that Manny’s grandma
usually works 8 am to 8 pm and that she learns more and more each day. Gianna Palumbo reports that
grandma had worked for 15 years, some at a family practice office and even checks eyes and does stitches.
Her favorite part of her job is when someone feels sick and then she makes a patient feel better and they
thank her. Reporter Bella Lamont concludes by saying how Grandma Georgia likes all of the people she
meets, the happy ones and even the grumpy ones. Thank you for a wonderful visit!!!

Third Grade News

There will be no school tomorrow, October 13th.
Thank you to Michael Frohman’s dad for visiting our classroom for Spotlight Student. Reporter Bella LaMont informs us that Mr. Frohman works six days a week. The cars he mainly checks are Subarus. His favorite things to do at work are brakes and oil changes. Reporter Gianna Palumbo adds he keeps the cars moving. He has worked at Subaru for three years. He works on probably twenty cars a day. Sydney Procick reports that the company works on about 240 cars, trucks, and vans a week. He keeps the garage at 60 degrees so he can keep moving. Finally, Caitlyn Smith reports that it takes 20 minutes to change a tire. Michael handed out lanyards from the company and also notepads that the students are enjoying very much!!!!!!!!! Thank You!!!
