  • Thank you to our most recent Spotlight Students.  Did you know that Nathan Osman is an “author?”  We got to enjoy his published comic book Spider Kid & Shock Man during his special week.  We also found out that Nathan loves to draw cartoons, especially Disney characters.  He particularly likes the Flash and if he could design his own birthday cake, he would use the Flash symbol.  Very interesting Nathan, thank you !

  • Thank you also to Gianna Palumbo’s mom and dad for visiting our classroom for Spotlight student. Reporter Isabella LaMont informs us that Gianna’s parents are engineers and they get to travel the world. Reporter Sydney Procick adds Gianna’s dad uses machines to paint cars and it takes one day to make a car and two and a half hours to paint it. We saw a PowerPoint presentation of Gianna at work with her dad operating the different machines.  Reporter Samantha Shumaker reports Gianna’s mom makes and programs the robots and Gianna’s dad teaches them how to do the work. Also Gianna’s mom did experiments like baking soda and vinegar in a volcano and it exploded!!! Reporter Caitlyn Smith thought it was funny when Gianna’s dad said that her mom is the smarter one.  They gave everyone a “book” bag with a flashlight, a water bottle, measuring tape, a pen, and two glow sticks.  Thank you!!
