Thank you so much for the wonderful attendance this week!! (It’s been great all year )
I am very proud of the boys and girls for doing their best on the ELA state test this week. You should have seen them working!
Thank you for working on the math packets also that are coming home for homework. We will continue the packets next week. We will also practice using the tools and solving the problems on the computers for our math state testing coming up on April 23rd and 24th. Towards the end of the week you will see a practice pre-test on Geometry instead of a packet and a test will be on Thursday or Friday.
Continue to practice multiplication facts as homework and even create other opportunities if possible. We have many students successfully going through to 12 on a consistent basis. Some students have even moved on to division. We would like to see everyone master their 0-12 multiplication facts by the end of the year.
Thank you to Kayla Weinreber’s dad for visiting our classroom for Spotlight Student. Reporter Sydney Procick informs us that Kayla’s dad was in the Navy for 7 years and has seen plenty of sea life especially dolphins. He got to see places like Spain, Italy, and France. Reporter Gianna Palumbo adds that Kayla’s dad has worked at Schwebel’s for the last four months now. He fixes and maintains the machines that make the bread. When he worked in the Navy he got a lot of medals. He got the Navy Achievement medal and a ESWS medal for having to learn all of the jobs on the ship. Reporter Josh Kelly reports that the oven at Schwebel’s can hold over 2,000 loaves of bread and they even supply rolls to the Cleveland Browns and Cavaliers. Kayla passed around her dad’s medals for all to see. WOW! Thank you for a wonderful visit!
Have A Nice Weekend!!!
It’s here!!! I do wish I meant the sun, but on Monday, April 9th and Tuesday, April 10th, the third graders will again take the ELA state test. We have just concluded several weeks of small group interventions and practice at writing opinion pieces. *Be Present at School on Both Days of Testing
*Get a Good Night’s Sleep
*Eat a Good Breakfast
