EDUCATION: I am a graduate of Brookfield High School. Upon graduation, I attended the University of Toledo for four years, majoring in Criminal Justice. I decided to then pursue a degree in education and subsequently graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Education with a concentration in Secondary Social Studies. I also hold a Master's Degree in Curriculum from Marygrove College in Michigan.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: I am currently in my 18th year of teaching and have been employed with the Lordstown, Brookfield, and Lowellville School Districts. I have experience teaching the following subjects: American History I & II, World History I & II, Economics, Global Studies, American Government, Modern American Politics, Intro to Psychology, and You & the Law. I currently serve as an Instructional Mentor for new teachers as well as the Lead Mentor for our district.
PERSONAL: Married to Dr. Ron Iarussi, Superintendent of the Mahoning County Educational Service Center/Mahoning County Career & Technical Center; two children, Keary, a 2014 graduate of Miami University who currently works in Moscow, Russia, and AJ, who is a senior at Struthers High School.
