Results of our recent trip to the National Robotics Challenge in Columbus,Ohio.
Team members Emmett Hynes, Kayla Theisler, and Christina Robb competed against 23 teams that have experience from other National competitions and programs that have been around for ten to fifteen years. Some robots cost around twentyfive hundred dollers to build and are equiped with hydralics and advanced motors and sensors. Most of these big schools not only offer Robotics as a two year class but run Robotic clubs and offer introduction robotics in the middle schools. To say the least our students with thier $350.00 robot and being first year students, it presented a real challenge. A challenge that they took on and gained some great experience and knowledge in making it to the semi-finals before getting eliminated. Kayla the driver, Emmitt the programer, and Christina crew chief did and outstanding job. You can view or download imagies of the competition as provided by Mr. Schriener, from the Robotics class web page.
