EDUCATION: I am a 1988 graduate of Brookfield High School. Upon graduation, I attended the University of Toledo for four years, majoring in Criminal Justice. Shortly thereafter I pursued a degree in education and graduated from Youngstown State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Education with a concentration in Secondary Social Studies. I also hold a Master's Degree in Curriculum from Marygrove College in Michigan.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE: I am currently in my 23rd year of teaching and have been employed with the Lordstown, Brookfield, and Lowellville School Districts over the course of my teaching career. I have experience teaching the following subjects: American History I & II, World History I & II, Economics, Global Studies, American Government, Advanced Placement Government & Politics, Modern American Politics, Intro to Psychology, and You & the Law. I currently serve as an Instructional Mentor for new teachers as well as the Lead Mentor for our district.
PERSONAL: Married to Dr. Ron Iarussi, Superintendent of the Marion City Schools in Marion, OH; two sons, Keary, a 2014 Miami University graduate who currently works in Moscow, Russia, and AJ, who attends Youngstown State University.
