I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education degree in 2000, having graduated
cum laude from Youngstown State University. I continued my studies at YSU,
earning my Masters in Secondary Education, summa cum laude, with a concentration in
Curriculum and Instruction in 2006. I am certified to teach all levels of Spanish
from Kindergarten through 12th Grade in the State of Ohio. I am a member of
Golden Key National Honor Society, the Kappa Delta Pi Educational and Phi
Kappa Phi International Honor Societies. In 2016, I completed the Master
Teacher program and was designated a Master Teacher through the
State of Ohio. In 2018 I became a Google for Education Level I Certified Educator.
I am trained as a mentor through the Ohio Department of
Education Resident Educator Program and hold ODE Mentor Certification.
I serve as a Mentor Teacher to resident and future

I have been teaching Spanish for 21 years, seventeen of which have been in
Lowellville. My classes include: 7th Grade Exploratory Spanish, Spanish I,
II, III & IV. I am also the advisor to the Spanish Club.
I live in Austintown with my husband, Rick, our two boys, Andrew and
Anthony and our cat Kylo. Some of my favorite things to do (besides speaking Spanish) are:
spending time with my family and friends, cheering on the Browns,
Buckeyes, Indians and Cavs and bowling, camping and attending concerts
in the summertime.
