I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your student’s math teacher for the 2021-2022 school year.  My goal is to make this a successful academic year for your student and I welcome your participation in your student’s education.

I obtained an undergraduate degree in math and a master’s degree in education from Slippery Rock University.  My husband and I have two children, a daughter in her 1st  year of Residency at University of Wisconsin American Family Children’s Hospital,  and a son that is a senior at Westminster College.

This school year is my 8th year at Lowellville High School. I am excited and thankful to be a part of your school community.  I have previously held long-term teaching positions at both New Castle Area School District and Shenango Area School District.

Together, we will make this a successful year for your student.  In order to accomplish this I have provided each student with a list of guidelines and procedures for the classroom, which I expect all students to follow.   Please refer to these documents if you have questions regarding my expectations.

Homework/notebook quizzes will be given weekly, so I advise all students to have a notebook.  The 9-week grade will be based on homework, quiz and test grades.  Homework quizzes will be approximately 25% of the grade, so it is important that homework is completed.

Although, some class extra credit or bonus work may be given throughout the 9-weeks, NO individual credit or bonus work will be available.  I know you will encourage your student to be responsible with their class work.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call me at (330)-536-8426 (school) or 724-658-7357 (cell).  I can also be contacted via e-mail at

Again, I’m confident that together we will make this a successful year for your student!
