Kacir Selected for All-State Orchestra
The Lowellville High School Music Department is proud to announce that Nick Kacir has been selected as the tuba player for the 2017 Ohio All-State Orchestra. All-State ensembles are comprised of the top musicians in the state, and membership is determined following a highly competitive audition process.
In addition to All-State Orchestra, Nick has participated in Northeast Ohio Regional Orchestra, Ohio Band Directors Conference Honors Band, Youngstown Symphony Youth Orchestra, Henry H. Stambaugh Concert Band, and O.M.E.A. District 5 Honors Band. In each of these groups, he was selected as the principal tuba player. Nick has consistently received superior ratings on Class A tuba solos since the eighth grade. At Lowellville High School, Nick is a member of the marching, concert, pep, and jazz bands. Nick is the son of Steve and Lori Kacir.
The 2017 Ohio All-State Orchestra will perform on Friday, February 3, at 1:00 p.m. in the grand ballroom of the Cleveland Convention Center in downtown Cleveland. The concert is free and open to the public!
