College Credit Plus

College Credit Plus, or CCP, is available to students in grades 7-12 through Youngstown State University and Eastern Gateway Community College.

CCP is also known as "dual credit" because students can earn college credit, free of charge, while simultaneously earning high school credit.  Grades earned in CCP courses are reflected in the official transcript and affect a student's high school GPA.  Students who fail a CCP course will be required to reimburse the district for the cost of the course.  CCP is not appropriate for students who have trouble with organization and diligence, as these are college-level courses and require an appropriate level of maturity.  Classes are available in-person or online (the majority are online), depending on the institution's availability.  Students must notify the school if they are planning on participating for the upcoming year by April 1 of the current school year.
