College Credit Plus

College Credit Plus, or CCP, is available to students in grades 7-12 through Youngstown State University.  Starting the 22-23 school year, we are planning on also offering Eastern Gateway credit as well.

CCP is also known as "dual credit" because students can earn college credit, free of charge, while simultaneously earning high school credit.  Grades earned in CCP courses are reflected in the official transcript and affect a student's high school GPA.  Students who fail a CCP course will be required to reimburse the district for the cost of the course.  CCP is not appropriate for students who have trouble with organization and dilligence, as they are college-level courses and require an appropriate level of maturity.  Classes are available in-person or online, depending on the institution's availability.

The window to enroll for CCP is currently closed.  Students not currently enrolled and wishing to do so may begin the process in January of 2022.  I will be visiting classrooms in December to discuss this opportunity with students.
