Period 3 - Career Development (Grade 8)  


(1 nine weeks - .25 credit)

Career Development is a nine-week course offered to all
 8th grade students to focus on directing the student to set goals for high school and beyond.

Students will explore the world of work, get to know themselves through self-assessment, research careers, develop an Individual Career Plan, develop job application/interviewing skills, develop workplace ethics, discover technology in the workplace, and develop professionalism through teamwork, leadership, communication, and decision making.  Time permitting, students will participate in an entrepreneurial program entitled “Making A Job.”
