Lowellville Local School District prides itself on a long history of Italian American tradition and culture in our community. We offer four upper levels of Italian study (Italian I, II, III, & IV) at the high school level; a 9-week exploratory course for our eighth grade students. The district also offered an Elementary Traveling Italian Classes (ETIC), a mobile classroom that visited each of our elementary classrooms once every three weeks from 2014-2019.
Italian I, II, III, & IV are elective courses. Students are required to obtain at least 4.5 elective credits in order to graduate. Students seeking Honors Diplomas must complete either 3 credits of a single World Language or two credits each of two World Languages. Most colleges require 3-4 years of high school language study.
