Rock Rock!  Who's There?  Shale.  Shale Who?  Shale we talk about third grade science!!!!!!  Learning about the different kinds of rocks and how they form is very interesting and engaging.  Using rocks, we are introduced to the skill of classifying and sorting which carries over to the other subjects as well.  Force and motion is an exciting part of the year, especially when we learn about magnets.  Learning about the Three States of Matter is always interesting.  What could be inside of those balloons!!??!!  Camouflaging frogs in our classroom goes along with learning about animals, life cycles, adaptations, and characteristics.  We will continue incorporating our new Core Curriculum, learning new topics as the old are completely phased out.  Either way...we will have a blast experimenting, investigating, recording, and learning about science.  After all, we discovered the first week, we are all scientists!
